Today was Lila's 9-month doctor's appointment...she weighs 16 lbs 15 oz (25th percentile) and is 27.5 inches long (50th percentile). Her latest milestone is pulling up to stand everywhere - now she just needs to learn how to get down by herself instead of alerting us to rescue her.

Lila's first Christmas tree

We got our Christmas tree over the weekend and surprisingly Lila has not been interested in the tree, even though it's full of shiny ornaments and bright lights. Hopefully she'll keep her tiny fingers away from the tree so it will last until the New Year.

Happy 8-month Birthday!

Lila is now "semi-crawling." She gets on her hands and knees, moves forward, then falls on her belly and does this pattern all over again. She is very close to real crawling but is happy with this semi-crawling method for now. See video of our little, naked, newly mobile Lila. The incentive: we played a video of herself on the laptop.

Exciting news! Lila was selected for a Baby Gap Spring photo shoot. Here she is at the fitting before the actual shoot. If they end up chosing a photo with Lila in it (there were also 3 other babies), her picture will be in stores Spring 2008, around March.
